Pre-hike briefing & check-in for The Milford & Routeburn Treks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow we start our four-day Milford hike in Fiordland National Park<\/a>. We will take a bus from Queenstown to Te Anau<\/a> and then a 30 minute boat ride to the start of our hike at the northern end of Lake Te Anau in the Fiordland National Park<\/a>. The Milford Trek hike<\/a> is four days in total, 33 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we finish that hike, we have a day of rest in Te Anau before we go at it again for the three day Routeburn Trek hike<\/a>, another 20 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will not have any internet service on either hike and we might not have time to update the blog on our day off. I know, I\u2019m sad too that I won\u2019t be posting on a daily basis. I\u2019ll still write the blog each day to share when we get back on the grid and reconnect. Hopefully there will be some pretty awesome photos when we return, so stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
