January 30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were sad to bid adieu to Furneaux Lodge this morning. After a hearty breakfast overlooking the Sounds, we set forth on our second day of the Queen Charlotte Track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitch was glad to leave the resort behind after ingesting what he thought was honey or simple syrup for his tea. Turns out it was dish soap, in an unmarked bottle next to the microwave. Honest mistake or a silly faux pas? You decide. He\u2019s fine (and his insides are squeaky clean).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was the easiest of the four days and we completed the 8 mile hike in about four hours. The track followed the coast, staying just above sea level around Endeavor Inlet, arriving at Punga Cove, our resort for the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We checked in and climbed the walkway to our room with a remarkable view over looking the inlet. After a short break, we hopped in the hot tub and cranked up the jets to ease our aching muscles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our dinner and view was exceptional tonight. We\u2019ve been eating a lot of fish and tonight\u2019s was swordfish. Delish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoping to get a good night sleep before our big hike tomorrow. Wish us luck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
